The article contains a summary prepared by the direction of the organizing committee of the traditional International Scientific and Practical Conference of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi” Science is the basis of innovative development", regarding the commentary of the conference title. Much attention is paid to the role of science in the development of modern society, especially in the development of its economic activities. The article presents assumptions about the transformation of science into an independent and effective branch of the economy in modern society. It highlights the need for widespread use of scientific achievements to achieve Tajikistan's strategic goals.
