Annotation:

The article presents the state of urbanization and the problems of environmental protection during the development of residential areas in major cities of Tajikistan. It raises the issue of state urban planning policy and, on this basis, the sustainable organization of urban development, the management of urban territories, and the formation of residential areas based on the proposed four groups of urban planning laws. The effectiveness of land use and development is determined in accordance with the rules of urban planning based on three levels of urban planning.
