Annotation:
The article examines the information provided by Jamal Qarshi, a historian of the late 13th - early 14th centuries, about the Seljuks. The author mainly focuses on the Seljuks‘ settlement history, their occupations, and the dates of death of the rulers of this dynasty. To determine the reliability of Jamal Qarshi‘s information on the Seljuks, his accounts were compared with data from other medieval written sources, using numismatic materials. As a result, it was established that Jamal Qarshi‘s information, in most cases - except for certain individual facts - corresponds to historical events, and that the names of Seljuk rulers and the dates of their deaths are presented by Jamal Qarshi in strict chronological order. The above data indicate that, when describing Seljuk history, Jamal Qarshi used materials from written sources unknown to us, since some information contained in this work is absent from other written sources describing Seljuk history.
